What's in a name? (Part II)

Thursday, Jul. 24, 2008 @ 10:26 a.m.

As a follow-up to my previous entry, I read a news article today about this judge in New Zealand that put his foot down and saved a 9-year-old girl from a ridiculous name given by her parents.

That poor girl was given the name "Talula Does The Hula From Hawaii" by her retarded parents. She was so humiliated by that name that she didn't even tell her close friends what her real name was, instead just asking them to call her "K". Judge Rob Murfitt made the poor girl a ward of the court so that she could be given a normal, non-embarrassing name (undisclosed to protect her new identity).

I think Judge Murfitt just gave me an orgasm. My hero!!

During his ruling, Judge Murfitt cited a list of other horribly bizarre victims of idiotic parents, including "Fish and Chips", "Yeah Detroit", "Keenan Got Lucy", and "Sex Fruit". Fortunately, these were blocked by registration officials, and the children lived to see normal social lives. Others however, weren't quite as fortunate, as their names actually got registered: "Number 16 Bus Shelter", and "Violence".

And you wonder why some children grow up to be psychos and serial killers.
